The School Day
OUR DAY
In line with government guidance, our schools are open for 32.5 hours per week.
08:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.
Our school gates are opened at 8.35am and the children go straight into their classroom where the teacher will be there to greet them and help them to start their day.
BREAK-TIME
There is a fifteen minute break each morning. Children are given the option of having a drink of milk; details of how to order and pay for this are enclosed in our New Parents Information Pack. We are part of the National Fruit scheme which is funded by the National lottery. Each child can have a free piece of fruit. If you do not wish your child to participate for any reason, please let us know.
LUNCHTIME
No child will be allowed to leave school at lunchtime unless a parent comes to meet that child.
All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are eligible to receive a hot midday school meal, free of charge. School lunches are cooked at Marlpool Junior School and then transported to our school. They provide a healthy and varied meal. Each day the children are served with a main course and a sweet. Packed lunch may also be eaten at school, and we encourage the children to eat as healthy a meal as possible.
